Australian natural death education centre

Adapted from an e-mail to the Natural Death Centre.

My vision is to have home and family directed funerals become commonplace in Australia and to see established a voluntary organisation of people who can assist in this process.

I am currently a palliative care volunteer in Australia and have recently completed a Masters of Applied Science with rites and rituals of death being my research focus for three years. I am applying for a Winston Churchill Fellowship to travel to study natural death disposition and education with the intention of establishing a natural death education centre or association in Australia.

I have had a traditional funeral director's training and I now work as a death and dying consultant for a health centre in my home town.
