The Problem:
speed up the rate at which ideas can be reviewed and put up on GIB
The Social Invention:
At the moment it seems that sometimes ideas have to wait a while before coming up on GIB because it has to go through a review process. And there are only so many reviewers with so much time.
My suggestion would be to open up the review process so that readers could also become reviewers. This way the work could be spread out over a larger community.
Slashdot.org underwent such a transformation. At first the originators of the site were doing all the selecting of interesting news articles. But after this took too much work, they let readers become the selectors. Each reader builds up a reputation over time, and as they do this , they got more selection power.

Here are some possible ways to select reviewers:
1) Anyone who has 2 ideas up on GIB can become a reviewer
2) Anyone can work on looking at new ideas to see if they have been entered before on GIB. After doing this work a while you become a reviewer

to topdollar,
interesting idea to have 2 sites. Its like one is the messy bin. Then it is sorted into the tidy GIB bin. maybe the messy pre-site is only open to selected reviewers.
