The Problem:
Reading books that are locked in display cabinets
The Social Invention:
The British Library displays old books in locked glass cabinets. Obviously these books can show only two pages at a time. I would like to see replicas of the books next to the display cabinets. I expect the BL has replicas in their vaults but replicas next to the display cases would be interesting for the casual visitor.
I thought of this when I was at the BL but the idea could apply to other museums and libraries.
