The Problem:
Time consuming lifts. Lack of opportunities to exercise.
The Social Invention:
When shops and offices have a group of lifts every lift is usually designed to access every floor. This can be time consuming. Alternatively, one lift in the group could be programmed to access only the ground floor and the top floor. This would be quicker, and would also encourage people to access the top/ground floor and then walk down/up to their floor.

I believe some buildings do have express elevators that go only between e.g. the ground floor and the middlemost floor.
I think the lift should right to the top, and there should then be a helter-skelter slide that takes you down to any floor. :)

Great idea - we had this at an office I once worked in. It was known as the "Client Priority Lift" because the top floor was where clients went. It was actually stopped during my time there - converted to a standard lift, which was a shame.

You could use slides to descend to the floor you want too, making the building safer in a fire, when the use of lifts is not advised.
The could stop at every 10th floor as a compromise for taller buildings.
