The Problem:
The lack of good drinking water in London (and UK), and the need to fund water projects elsewhere.
The Social Invention:
The idea is to develop and bottle a mineral water product that can be sold in shops, hotels and restaurants. Once sales of the water begin, 100% of the profits will be donated to water purification and filtration projects.
Project Objectives:
Within 6-12 months, the objective was to have the product ready for market and being served in a number of restaurants and hotels. Methods:
Sourcing the water, building a team of supporters and businesses, a financial model (a trust to distribute profits), then marketing to restaurants and supermarkets Resources Used/Still Needed:
Spread the word about us! Timescale/Development:
The water is now stocked in many branches of Waitrose, and in some restaurants....and we have started funding our first two projects (one overseas, and one in the UK) dedicated to clean water and sanitation |
