The Problem:
Increasing losses of Freedom of Speech & of Expression.
The Social Invention:
Increasingly, our freedom of speech is being limited, by both new laws, and the threat of being sued for defamation. To insult or make accusations against a large company such as coca-cola for example could potentially bankrupt someone. In some countries, an expression of an opinion can lead you to jail or even execution.
The idea is to allow a printed medium (for one example) to be completely free with regards to their rights to freedom of speech and opinion by removing the "human judgement" part of the equation.
If for example you were to create a street press (a zine) containing potentially controversial information or use of copywritten information, you implicate yourself by printing and distributing it.
The Solution:
Automation of the process...
"The Submissions are sent to an unmanned computer, which compiles this into a single document for printing. The printing takes place, documents are stapled & boxed by a blind man and delivered to their destinations, where they are unwrapped blindfolded your honour!"
This is a crude example, but an automated system of delivery (Open TV, Open Web, Open Press, Open Billboards) essentially undermines the premise of limitations imposed upon your right to say *whatever* you choose, and the very meaning of copyright and intellectual property.
If nothing else, it would serve to demonstrate the unfeasability of MicroPatenting and Copyrighting things in a world where free and open source collaboration is almost now necessary to complete tasks.
