The Problem:
One should not subscribe to a newspaper to read only a section or two regularly. It is a waste of paper and money.
The Social Invention:
I suggest that newspapers offer custom or a la carte subscriptions, priced by section (any two sections for $X, five sections for $X, etc.). Of course, they would still offer the regular whole paper. The publishers would probably get more money because people like me would subscribe under this a la carte system who wouldn't normally.
