From an e-mail to the Natural Death Centre.
I am one of the organisers of an organisation called The Center for Living and Dying, MA. Our organisation has three main goals:
- To change society's view on death from an experience to be feared to
an experience to be at peace with.
- To help the dying to die in peace without fear and to allow them to understand
that at death, they continue. That death is just the discarding of the physical
vehicle. That you live on as the eternal being which you have always been.
- To help the families of the dying to understand that death is not an end
but a transition and that they will see their loved one again. We help with
their bereavement.
Our organisers range from people who work with cancer patients, to workers in hospices and a writer on a book called The Death Transition.
