Adapted extracts from an appeal sent to the Natural Death Centre.
I am seeking investments in multiples of £500 towards the £22,000 still needed to begin my project of buying and fitting out a narrowboat, so that any terminally ill person (plus four family or friends) can cruise on the Bath end of the Kennet and Avon Canal. I have £10,000 to put into this. Your investments would be tied to the value of the boat and would tend to rise in value.
One thing I have found is that those who are terminally ill, and their family and friends, want to spend a few memorable days together. I have distilled the details of this project from 35 years of experience on canals and rivers.
