Rupert Blamire, who has a masters degree in ceramics from the Royal College of Art, has designed a striking neo-classical three-foot-high lidded ceramic urn, made of red terracotta clay from Staffordshire. They can be used for housing the ashes or simply be used as garden ornaments - indeed they won the 1994 Garden Product of the Year award from the BBC's Gardener's World Live show.
